Quality Assurance Procedures

  • Each mechanic retains a copy of the assembly instructions in their work area. These instructions provide all the parameters for gearing backlashes, bearing adjustments and bolt torque settings.
  • During assembly they document all specifications of assembly on a check list. After completion this form is sent to the warehouse for filing and retained for future reference.
  • Housings are inspected in the machine shop after completion of repair work. Assemblies are inspected in the assembly shop before and after they are test ran. A check list is retained for all inspections.
  • An information tag is attached to all jobs after assembly. These tags contain Mayo’s job number, component part number and a date code for future references.
